Unfortunately sounds like they’re gonna arrest him even after their National Assembly voted to override the coup. We live in a terrifying era of global democratic backsliding and I’m hoping this isn’t a preview of what’s to come in America. The far right is as powerful as it’s been in 90 years.

The North Carolina Senate overriding the results of the Supreme Court election because the candidate they wanted lost is about as corrupt as it gets. I hope this isn’t a sign of things to come, but sadly I think it may be.

The pardon coming on a day Trump appointed two of his children’s in-laws to high ranking positions also just adds to how much hypocrisy there is. Right wingers are totally ok with nepotism if it’s their guy doing it. Don’t take them at their word when they get outraged, they aren’t being honest.

I don’t care about this at all. However I will say it is mind numbingly frustrating that Biden spent his entire presidency trying to play by the rules and the one time he breaks them is to pardon his son instead of doing so earlier to help the country (Senate parliamentarian, prosecuting Trump etc)
