I used to never ever evereverever talk about the good things in my life— because if I talked about them, if I acknowledged them as real, the good things would go away, or leave, or be taken away. But I’ve been working on this— it’s been a long, hard unlearning & relearning.

An update: I had to pivot to a totally new idea mid-weekend & I wasn’t real happy about it, but I did it— & I submitted a story I am pretty proud of. Now, we wait.

Sometimes you do a thing way out of your comfort zone because you committed to a year of writing challenges. Anyway this week I wrote & submitted my first screenplay. And this feels like a kinda-big-deal-thing worth documenting.
