Holding out to see if Uruguay sack Marcelo. It clearly wonāt make any difference to the future of LUFC, but Iāll take the blissful daydream, even if itās simply to spare me the abject misery of contemplating the clubās current trajectory.

Back in the cinema tomorrow and already bracing myself for seeing the Avatar trailer for the third time. Who are these people who pay to see these films? Iām bored stupid just suffering a couple of minutes of highlights.

What a traumatic read. A remarkably courageous and resilient woman who suffered unspeakable horrors long before Epstein even came along and devoted much of her final decade reliving them, time after time, in search of justice. At least she lived to see Maxwell imprisoned. Release those files.

Just had a look at the WACCOE poll on Farke. So far, 52 want him here and 696 want him gone. Itās not just in my mind that the 49ers are two bollocks short of a pair thenā¦

A man with a catastrophic top flight record, repeatedly sending out a defensively inept team to defend and try and sneak a draw on the road - we all know where this ends, itās just when. Most of us expect it will be too late to salvage the season. Farke and 49ers, a marriage made in Hell.

Just watched A House of Dynamite on Netflix, which is essentially the opening act of Annie Jacobsenās book given the Rashomon treatment. Itās a sobering and fascinating rehash, but get me that full, Denis Villeneuve directed holocaust story experience already - my most anticipated film in years!

Burnley was abject, today was just pathetic. A LUFC team desperately short of a cutting edge, managed by a man who doesnāt do creative solutions was always a recipe for problems, if we donāt even try and compete we might as well forget it.

What bit? The failing to score bit? The needles concession of two goals bit? The having two flimsy bits of plywood in the front three bit? The spunking of Ā£30m on defenders who canāt get close to a line-up featuring Pascal Strujk bit?

Risible stuff, a transfer policy laid bare. A performance where with every passing minute, the players seemed to become ever more aware of their inability to pose a credible attacking threat. Any assembled PL squad that affords so much game time to Harrison, Aaronson and Nmecha is a travesty.

If the LUFC attacking players were actually knocking on doors, as opposed to just metaphorically doing so, you could only surmise they were Jehovahās Witnesses.

Thatās the kind of display most LUFC supporters worried about at the close of the transfer window. Plenty of willing, but any front three that features Harrison and Aaronson at this level rates as utterly feeble, even against opposition as shite as Burnley. Praying for something from set pieces.

Bit late to the Diane Keaton wake, but what a talent. The Woody Allen stuff and the late career, Hollywood challenging romcoms will doubtless receive laudatory love, but first and foremost, she provided the love, morality, warmth and the beating heart of The Godfather films. Sleep well, Kay. x

Unlucky for the second consecutive Saturday, though the second half really exposed LUFCās paucity of attacking options. Looking at the bench in search of potential PL level game changers at 1-2 made for quite a sobering experience.

The greatest threat to our democracy, freedom, and human rights is not Farage. It is the overwhelming majority of the British news media. They promote Farage, and they protect Farage. If they carry on like this, we will soon have no democracy.

If we can get Calvert-Lewin scoring the goals of one striker as well as doing the work of twoā¦and keep him fit, then we have a chance to recruit in January from a decent position. Weāre just dealing with some pretty big āifsā.

By a distance LUFCās most convincing and heartening showing so far, looked competitive and dangerous⦠then two needless and almost inexplicable changes. If we really needed to replace Aaronson then surely Justin was the man and replacing DCL who led the defence from the front brilliantly, just mad

Half an hour of the familiar followed by 15 minutes of the otherworldly, then a comfortable 2nd half. Still concerns about chance creation - if none about chance conversion - today, now LUFC somehow need to find a way to ensure this becomes a springboard, rather than a just a rare positive memory.

Ā£30m worth of LUFC defensive signings who didnāt get on the pitch today. Two were unused subs, the other not involved at all. All while a team desperately short of any attacking threat laboured towards the inevitable. Imagine spending every penny of the budget to put the club in this position.

Probably wouldāve been flattered by a draw, came up against sluggish opposition and created little, then were clearly hanging on after the substitutions. DCL and Okafor still look a bit short, Aaronson is Aaronson and as an offensive force, the midfield is abysmal. Why did Tanaka stay benched?
