#biomechsky question. Is there a way to plot opensim models/kinematics/ whatever native from python? That is, without opening an opensim window, can I plot a vsiualisation of my results of the sim? If not, why not? And would you be interested in it?

Ok, sky help me out here. If doing inverse kinematics using IMUs, is really only the orientation of the sensors used? It would seem that if you have a reasonable estimate of pos of sensor on segment, given kinematic chain, you would also know acc, and hence, could use that info for better fit. 1/2

We have just published this pre-print. doi: doi.org/10.1101/2025.... We show that linear and angular momentum are both controlled during bipedal walking. This study resulted from discussions we had on the use of foot placement to stabilise gait. Comments and suggestions are welcome.

When I was on Twitter, I asked how scientists determine the age of their human participants. As about two-thirds of the respondents (and 2/3 of authors) ask for rounded-down age, the average ages reported in the literature may be biased by half a year. Open access at doi.org/10.1016/j.ac...
