also, as a fellow UK library worker not at the British Library: even within a low-paid sector (’vocational awe’ is supposed to sustain us, I guess) the BL is infamous for its VERY low pay. I hate that management has brought it to this point, and I hope the staff get everything they’re asking for ✊
