Congratulations to @awintory.bsky.social for winning a GRAMMY for Sword of the Sea. I’ve been a big fan since flOw. This feels like the apotheosis of his thatgamecompany/Giant Squid collaborations. Couldn’t happen to a nicer person and champion of video game music and composers alike.

I find Octopath Traveler 2 so charming because of the hilarious lengths the story goes to define characters by their professional excellence to dancing, holistic medicine, flogging wares, etc. Modern-day version: Klarné saves the town with her emergency dentistry; no one codes CRM like Gerbilia

Every few years I need an infusion of Beatles inspiration- this year was the remastered Anthology on Disney+. The music, the story, the characters… It seems endlessly fascinating & builds towards Abbey Road as the final masterpiece album. My kids keep singing “Strawberry Fields”, so it continues…

Hollow Knight Silksong Act 3 credits rolled. A spectactular game with with balletic encounters. A few frustrating elements, but if I can achieve 100% completion with my modest skill level, lots of folks can. Rich world design, poetic dialogue, wonderful music.

I have only played the most frustrating parts of this game because my wife and kids hand me the pad for the bits they can’t do. 10/10 game, no notes 😃
