The American justice system is not for sale. Reports that DOJ may drop fraud charges against a billionaire with powerful political ties raise serious concerns about who justice serves. We cannot allow fairness to be traded to the highest bidder.

Trump promised to lower costs on Day One. Instead, his reckless handling of the war with Iran is driving up gas prices, fueling inflation, and making life more expensive. While billionaires cash in on his tax giveaways, Americans are paying more at the pump and at the grocery store.

The Supreme Court’s decision in Louisiana v. Callais is a shameful abdication of duty that effectively legalizes racial discrimination under the mask of partisan politics.

My amendment was just ACCEPTED by the committee. For too long, the powerful have used their connections to dodge consequences. This amendment stops taxpayer dollars from being used to lift sanctions on credible child traffickers. We’re drawing a line in the sand: Justice isn't for sale.

Relieved to hear that everyone at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner is safe tonight based on initial reports. A free press is foundational to our democracy, and those who work to keep us informed must be able to do so without fear of violence. Violence is never acceptable.

Survivors have waited long enough. I’m proud to stand with @DemWomenCaucus demanding answers from DOJ. We will not stop until there is real accountability and full transparency.

Justice for survivors should never be sidelined by White House interference. Using federal authority to protect accused sex traffickers is a betrayal of the people we are supposed to protect. Survivors deserve a government that fights for them, not for their exploiters.

If you are willing to die for this country, you should not be deported by it. My amendment to ensure non-citizen veterans receive legal counsel and due process was blocked, leaving our heroes at risk. This is a betrayal of our values and a broken promise to those who wore the uniform.

Imagine paying more for bread just because of the data on your phone. It’s called “Surveillance Pricing.” I tried to have the FTC investigate this digital price-gouging, but House Republicans just blocked it. They’re protecting corporate profits while you pay the price at the checkout.

Veterans should never be denied their basic rights. This week, Republicans blocked my amendment to guarantee non-citizen veterans legal counsel and a fair hearing, replacing it with empty words. If you fought for this country, this country should fight for you.

I’m deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Rep. David Scott. He dedicated over two decades to serving Georgia and our country. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. His legacy of service will not be forgotten.
