Earlier on we watched the first episode of The Demon King's Daughter is Too Kind!! on Crunchyroll. It wasn't as bad as I feared (note: I was fearing a role reversed clone of that dumb show about the demon king's servant falling for a priestess from the other day).

And another new anime first episode: Champignon Witch (Champignon No Majo). It's a whimsical fairy story about a witch who lives in the forest with various magical animals and yearns to be accepted by the people of the nearest town, who fear her because her footsteps leave a trail of poisonous...

It's nice to have an isekai show which takes everything so seriously; the lead's old life matters, the people of both worlds all act believably and there's genuine worldbuilding…

The first episode of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes s2 was pretty good, like season 1. They included a few more cameos to keep fans of the original interested (and maintain a sense that it's all set in the same world) but the main Vigilantes cast is fun even without them. I'll keep watching. 7/10.

Another first episode: Kunon the Sorcerer Can See. Not the most fluent-sounding title in English but I'll give it at least some credit for thrashing Noble Reincarnation in every possible way (art style, pacing, worldbuilding, having an actual idea for a plot, casting Hayami Saori as the lead etc.)
