Every iteration of a furry convention is its own experience, and in this regard it's like musical theatre: For those of us who did ConFuzzled this year, now and for the rest of our lives we'll be able to say that we played a part in 2026's ConFuzzled: The Musical. And that's a wonderful thing. 😁

These past few days, I've poured a lot of heart into an upcoming club set. Doing this is both exhilarating and emotionally exhausting, though more the former than the latter. It's an intense process, and I do it because my music is meant to be emotional. It's meant to make you feel.

Today I learnt that there is a cartoon film about anthropomorphic cats done in a psychedelic sixties Belle Époque art style that stars Judy Garland. No, really.

Now that summer is more or less upon us, I have many of my biggest projects out of the way. This means that the summer, for me, will be focused on music. I don't get any cons in summer, but I do get festivals and parties and concerts - and that's what I shall be focusing on. 😜

You've probably noticed that I haven't done much DJing in recent weeks. The month of May was more or less fully dedicated to The Wedding Singer and to ConFuzzled for me. Now that both are over, I'm immersing myself back in my music once again: I have a few live performances coming up for you! 🎶

Fursuiting in a heatwave is no joke. Even so, I made sure to get some fursuit time in at ConFuzzled, as I always aim to. But I certainly spent less time in suit than I otherwise might have. @ceilfox.bsky.social powerful blade fans work very well, but I can't stay in the fursuit lounge all day. 😜

I've now done... Fifteen furry cons: Seven ConFuzzleds, three Scotiacons, two Pawsomes, two Furcations, and a Wild North. And an overview glance at my calendar suggests that the pace is accelerating slowly but surely. 😜

There it is: I went to lie down, alone, and...it finally hit me that ConFuzzled is over. The tears that followed were my release. It's now a series of very happy memories, and a lingering sense of pleasant fatigue. I wouldn't trade this set of experiences for anything. ❤️

I'm home. It hasn't...really sunk in yet that it's over. This ConFuzzled has been absolutely amazing: I've been able to do some of everything I wanted to do, and spend time with a lot of my friends. That's really the most important part for me: the friends I get to share this experience with.

Bags are getting packed. Checklist is progressively being completed. Only tomorrow, will I find out if everything actually fits... 😜

In a fun twist of fate, I will be rehearsing my next show - which is after ConFuzzled - tonight in costume. Considering I just came out of an upbeat modern musical and am about to go into a zany furry convention, an evening of grand high opera feels somehow oddly out of place. 😜

And now that that’s settled… I have just three days to pack and get ready for @confuzzled.org.uk … The magnitude of this task is only just beginning to sink in. 😜

In the days leading up to @confuzzled.org.uk a fascinating phenomenon can be observed: The space-time continuum bends and warps and distorts. This explains how there is always both enough time, and not enough time, to pack for the convention. Physicists still struggle to explain this. 😜

And now, with a contented sigh, The wolf can bask in afterglow. Event drop follows every high, Especially from such a show. 😁

And…done. Just before @confuzzled.org.uk has its Musicals theme, I’ve completed a show run of an awesome musical myself, The Wedding Singer, playing Freddie Mercury. Five months of dedication culminating in a FANTASTIC run, complete with a furry takeover of the theatre!

This was definitely an experience! Night at the musical is complete, now I'm ready for a week of the same 🥰

Tonight is the latest furry theatre takeover: when furries descend on the theatre to watch a musical and then turn the lobby into a mini furmeet afterwards - complete with fursuits! It’s time for “The Wedding Singer”! 🎶

Had a chance to try piloting a nice new Mercedes-Benz recently, and I must say I enjoyed it: lots of tech that mostly worked well, comfy and cushy inside and nice supportive seats, and was relaxing to drive. Given the problems certain *ahem* other cars give me, perhaps I should consider a Merc? 😏

Lately, I've been so focused working up for my next shows and towards the con... I realised today that I'd completely failed to notice how perfect the weather is for going back out on the water. I've not done that since the autumn. I need to get back on the river soon.
