Kaede slapped it onto her official list of names/titles but she doesn't use it outside of that. Kaede Kazarishi, Viscountess of House Borel, Warrior of Light, Savior of Ishgard, Champion of Eorzea, etc etc so on and so forth. meanwhile both of her children use the de Borel surname exclusively.
