The father and son who drowned off the coast of Australia have been named as Robin and Owen, from Islwyn. My heart goes out to the family and community who are grieving not one but two tragic losses in awful circumstances. Their deaths have been reported to the Coroners Court of Queensland.

I sent FOI requests to the four Welsh police forces about dangerous dog stats. Their responses showed two things. 1. Dog control incidents have become increasingly common 2. Police data on this issue is inconsistent and incomplete
