While the government’s trying to find millions in productivity reforms, we’re giving away billions in gas. Students are *still* paying more in HECS payments than the government collects from the petroleum resources rent tax.

We pay far too much for electricity and gas in this country. Every time we open a bill we see evidence of government failure. The govt must stop allowing multinationals to sell off our gas while paying little or no tax, while we pay more for our gas than the people who buy it overseas.

While the media drone on about how hard it is for people with most than $3 million in super to lose some of their tax breaks, in reality the vast majority of Australians have less than $200k in super. The median for a 60 year old woman is just $158k, which means half of women have less than that!
