Some more Solar Auxilia progress, with a completed Dracosan. Whisper it, but it’s just possible I might finish the army box I got in April last year. Really like how the green has come out on this. Quite muted, but it’s pretty fitting for Heresy I would say.

A plea for help… on PS5, is there any way to invert the horizontal camera settings? I’ve never seen it not be an option in a game before. If it’s not possible, I don’t think I’m going to be able to play, and I’m £50 out of pocket ☹️ I also really want to shoot some nids.

Exciting bike progress! My frame is at the painters ready for stripping, and there has been further work going on with the samplers - getting close to a final scheme now, can’t wait to see it!

Way back in May 2023 I painted up a squad of Death Korps that I was very proud of, that it turned out were very difficult to photograph well (although look at that sweet sweet plasma glow)… with the Army set about to drop, I’m looking forward to painting up a few more! #deathkorps

I always love some New Year hobby resolutions that I probably won’t meet! For 2025, mine are - paint a Solar Auxilia army - paint a Desth Korps army So it really is the year of the unaugmented human I failed my 2024 resolution - but did achieve my 2022 resolution, so that’s good 🙂

Happy Heresy Thursday everyone! Super pleased to have just put the finishing touches to a lasrifle section for my new Solar Auxilia force. Very difficult to photograph well, but I am very happy with how they are looking.

Well, for better or worse (it’s worse), I’ve finished up Volkite Culverins for my Sagyar Mazan.They were looking great. GW Munitorum Varnish ruined them. I’ve done my best to rescue them, but they are not looking particularly black anymore. They’re done, I’m not happy. Don’t use GW varnish.

One of my (many) projects is to work up a Slaves to Darkness army. I recently finished up these Ogroids. Pleased with how they came out. This project is a real exercise in desaturation and keeping highlights subtle. Enjoying it so far.

Starting the year working on a new ally for my Idoneth Deepkin - the Celestant Brine. Really pleased with how he’s looking. Green stuff work to be done and then we can get painting!
