One impact of of the Trump action to throw Federal spending programs into chaos is it will slow the economy. It’s the opposite of an economic stimulus program and the odds of a major recession are growing.

So much of state and local government is funded in some part by the Feds. Even with court injunctions, there is widespread paralysis in state and local government because they don’t know when or if funding will arrive.
