Eliza up at 06.30 today, excited for sleepover at her friends. Bouncing off the walls all day, driving me mad asking Alexa how long until 2pm every five minutes. Eliza also back home by 10.30pm with mania induced vomiting from being a giddy kipper all day and going on a blue candy floss bender 😂

In the never ending saga of knee surgery recovery, I managed to remove the brace for the first time in 2 weeks yesterday. Today it twisted and made a massive crunch and I nearly vomited, and, because it’s made of fucking twigs at moment, I can only walk backwards or sideways like sodding crab 😩

Surreal scenes at a doctors appointment to extend my fit note while knee is still recovering. Asked how long I want, “4 weeks or longer”? When I said 2 weeks she looked alarmed so we haggled a bit until both agreed on 3 weeks. I could have gone in with a much higher bid and faced no resistance 😂

Took a full dose of ADHD meds this morning for the first time in five weeks and am now absolutely brimming with motivation to Do Things, which is unhelpful because I still can’t walk properly. In summary, I’ve no idea why I’ve done this other than ADHD made me do it 🙃

First trip away in my little van last night. Stayed very local while testing it out. Eliza made me take Reimo for company 🥰 It was warm, comfortable and quiet, so the main requirements are ticked off. Few tweaks to make for next time but it’s a good start 🙌🏽

4 WEEKS OFF WORK Currently can’t drive, walk properly, get up and down stairs quickly, exist for more than 2 hours without needing a nap, but still, 4 weeks off. What a lovely* Monday. *except for not being able to drive, walk, stairs, exist.
