One of my favourite styles has to be the sonic 3 style. I just find it so visually pleasing and they are very fun to doodle. Anywho look at my cool Amy sprite I made awhile ago (I tweaked it over time but I don’t feel like getting the updated version atm)

In Nintendo Life's Mother Series documentary, Toby talked about how he found the translation of EarthBound Beginnings to be great, and how the character "Forgotten Man" was the best example. This character seems to be the main inspiration behind the man behind the tree.
