I have so many problems with tying compensation to media rankings, but this also sets a horrible precedent with USWNT minutes played. It potentially puts the coach in a horrible spot and only values American players.

Will American soccer leagues get out of their own way? I'm still confused by all of this btw, and am fascinated to see how this all ends up. It seems like Rodman wants to stay in the U.S. but the NWSL is making that pretty difficult with their self-imposed rules.
