As part of today's historic return of ancestral land in the Sierra Nevada foothills and Central Valley back to the Tule River Tribe, the Department of Fish and Wildlife is helping reintroduce tule elk to the area. It's a critical step in restoring balance to the lands and waters of their ancestors.
