Again, Dear BlueSky People: this is social media. As much as I might agree with you’re saying, your whimsical pseudonym is not helping me to see you as a real person with a real name. In this moment, it’s socially important for real people to identify themselves, bravely, as real people.

I like the culture on BlueSky, except this: I don’t like anonymity and pseudonyms. I like real names. I like to know who’s talking. I like the fearlessness of people putting their names on what they write I know there are other perspectives on this point. I’m only letting y’all be clear about mine.
