*Maple Syrup Update* So I did a bunch more boiling since the trees just kept delivering and this time I got 18 fl oz of syrup.

This makes me happy especially since I just made my own maple syrup

#caturday is here and so is Izzy She is not sad, just not happy about the current seating arrangement. Cat dads are so inconsiderate.

Uh oh 😮 I might have eaten a Diary Queen cupcake with daughter number two. My mouth was very purple after this 😜

I will not be making a living with maple syrup production, but here is the result of my first boil. It yielded 185 ml of syrup (boiling point 219 degrees F), which means I started with approx 7.5 L of sap. It does taste very good. I will definitely make more.

Not region specific but in grade 5 my class went to a chicken hatchery. We saw the room where they sort the new chicks by male and female. The males went into a garbage bag and well you can guess the rest. It was a traumatic field trip 😥
