Our online shop is also now open for pre-orders of the zine, which is priced at just £9 plus P&P. (We've deliberately kept the price as low as possible in order to make this as accessible as possible)

We're delighted to announce the publication of our new zine, Flow. It's by far our best and biggest publication yet, featuring 60 pages of work from 35 Dartmoor visual artists exploring the theme of flow across a diversity of styles and mediums, interweaved with the words of writer, Kirsteen McNish.

A homeless man cycled past me, and, in one hand, a pigeon sat eating snacks 6 swans flew over me as they headed down the river towards the estuary. An Eight held a steady cadence as they powered their way back up the river to the city. Acorns crunched underneath my feet. Today was a perfect run.

Autumn seems a good time to buy a book full of trees. Like this one perhaps…

It's gone. The small metal pontoon for swimmers in the Teign Gorge. Like most man-made objects placed onto Dartmoor either wind or water will slowly deconstruct the object until just a hulk, and then nothing, remains

So, an ultrasound this morning. Apparently I have so many gallstones “there’s no point in counting them”. Very relieved that we now know what the problem is. Am hoping they decide to whip them, and the gallstone bladder, out in the next couple of months.

Can I ask some advice please. During late Autumn I want to go and camp on Dartmoor during a storm. It’s for a photography project I will need to book time off my day job. Could you give me any pointers where to look for data that might suggest a storm is due in 7 to 14 days?Ta

The Greeks, at the end of a long summer, be it in Athens or Nafplio, be they waiters, taxi drivers, bus drivers or passport controllers have been, without exception, patient, friendly and decent. They are the best thing about Greece.

Absolutely beautiful this morning. A full moon setting over Dartmoor whilst, in the opposite direction, the sun slowly rose. Valleys full of mist and mystery, whilst the hills were bathed in gentle sunshine.

I'm planning a long winter on Dartmoor. I haven't focussed on my photography for 18 months and it is time to step back in. My goal is 18 to 25 images that capture the Moor, that demonstrate the "indifference" of Dartmoor's landscape and that I can look at and think "That's it, Dartmoor is done"

My sister trains with a Boot Camp on Bristol Downs but the council want to put up the license fee which could put some out of business. Would be GREAT if you could sign and share a petition to stop this. They’re a really important health benefit.

Indifferent Landscapes. Devoid of features and with low cloud, northern Dartmoor can be a befuddling place. Never quite sure where you are. These posts, marking the edge of "live firing" areas used by the military, can be a Godsend. Follow them and you will get somewhere....

Landscapes of the Subconscious There is something about this image that I keep coming back to, playing with, and then walking away. Each time I leave happy. I think that if there is one image that captures what I feel when I say "Indifferent Landscapes" this may be it

Coastal - South Devon The coastline nearest to me, the backdrop to most of my days. Perhaps familiarity does breed contempt but this coast is a little too lived in for my taste. Numerous towns and villages, in various stages of neglect, sit on it. It's busy.

Coastal - Ceredigion, Wales So much colour in this coast, in the sea, on its cliffs and in its skies. Although proximate to the north Devon coast it's really very different.

The Dog Days We went for a walk and a swim to escape the heat. It did not work. The river is low, the only thing moving the pond skaters, the woods are a subdued green. A hay bale had made a bid for escape by rolling towards the river but gave up and simply stood baking in the sun.

From January 2021, lockdown, made on the local golf course, which was the only greenspace accessible to me at the time. It’s stuck with me, somehow reflecting the bleakness of the time and that feeling of a tenuous grip on existence.

Coastal - Cape Wrath, Scotland. Despite having some of the tallest cliffs and wildest seas in the UK, the Cape Wrath coast speaks not so much of drama but of melancholy. There is one permanent resident. Abandonment, solitude, even loneliness fills very view. A remarkable place
