Bea sent me a picture of the post Budget party last night. There’s little Bea, her Minister, the Chancellor and two special advisors. All grinning from ear to ear. Lovely. But what really struck me was they are all women. Things are better, not perfect, nowadays.

The Van, Cape Wrath. There is one road on Cape Wrath, leading from the ferry dock to the lighthouse. "Road" is a generous description nowadays. Halfway along it an abandoned transit van sits in the landscape, slowly rusting away but providing some shelter for hikers during the winter. #landscape

An “adit” is a horizontal shaft used in mine works to drain the mine of water. The water drizzles down the sides of the adit where, very slowly, it reacts with the minerals in the granite. Beautiful forms and patterns emerge on these walls in some places. #photography #landscape #Dartmoor
