The Van, Cape Wrath. There is one road on Cape Wrath, leading from the ferry dock to the lighthouse. "Road" is a generous description nowadays. Halfway along it an abandoned transit van sits in the landscape, slowly rusting away but providing some shelter for hikers during the winter. #landscape

It stopped raining and so I went out and ran for 10 miles. I tried to have profound thoughts and insights into the condition of humankind but nothing came to me so I looked at swans and was overtaken by a squirrel.

An “adit” is a horizontal shaft used in mine works to drain the mine of water. The water drizzles down the sides of the adit where, very slowly, it reacts with the minerals in the granite. Beautiful forms and patterns emerge on these walls in some places. #photography #landscape #Dartmoor

It's gone. The small metal pontoon for swimmers in the Teign Gorge. Like most man-made objects placed onto Dartmoor either wind or water will slowly deconstruct the object until just a hulk, and then nothing, remains #Dartmoor #Landscape

So, an ultrasound this morning. Apparently I have so many gallstones “there’s no point in counting them”. Very relieved that we now know what the problem is. Am hoping they decide to whip them, and the gallstone bladder, out in the next couple of months.
