I consume a lot of audiobooks, and I think authors and publishers need to have intentional conversations about the listening experience. If your book has unusual text-based formatting, there needs to be a note about what that looks like and directions to some kind of sample.

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

I’m painfully soft - in good and bad ways. I struggle to be bold, to know the right action to take. I ache when people are hurting or hurting others. It feels these times are exasperating this part of me. I feel a deep urge to turtle in my home and hug my family or cry or both.

I just hosted our UVic Faculty of Human & Social Development book club where we read @farzanadoctor.bsky.social’s 52 Weeks to a Sweeter Life. The consensus was that this is just the book we needed for ourselves and our students…years ago. #booksky #AcademicSky #52weeks
