In 2023, I managed to slip out before the layoffs hit me, and landed a new role in 2 business days. In 2024, I managed to secure a new role in 31 days, leaving 3 weeks before those layoffs hit. Unfortunately, I couldn't keep dancing through the lightning strikes. I'm now looking for work.

If you're watching something live (no replay) you might not notice. We are now have of real time automated video editing. I do like Two Minute Papers as a source, even if the creator tends to like AI more than I'm comfortable with.

Of course, if the people building AI are partly right, and it replaces labor at even 25% the rate they are hoping, the impact will be much bigger than just the cost of data centers. Note it doesn't have to be "as good" as a person to replace. Quality has almost never rated higher than cost.
