As a retired Air Traffic Controller with 29 years of experience, listen to me. This is a game for the young. I started at age 23 and literally knew the day my brain started slowing down (36). At that point, you are seasoned and experienced, but ATC moves at a speed that is dizzying.

As an experienced controller, you realize your not as quick as you once were. You have to rely on other tools to keep up. By the forced retirement age of 56, the speed just becomes to much. The job and schedule wears on the body and medical retirements go through the roof.

It's why the age 56 mandatory retirement is set by Congress. If they remove the age restriction, the rate of controllers losing their medicals will surpass 50%. Musk is stupid! He believes he understands everything, but those experts make him out for the fool he is. #DoYouWantToDie
