One very serious problem, but not the only one, is that many members of Congress know that defying the regime would mean defying their sponsors.

Of course not all C**ksucker in chief voters are magats or extremists, and that should give us some hope. They probably voted against something that existed, and not for something ridiculous.

The cavernous stupidity of magats and other right wing extremists probably means we are wasting our time with them. Our energy would be better spent on those who don't get involved. Communicate, educate, and at very very least, vote!

When training for a pilot's license, the most important rule is "fly the plane". Despite the distractions or other important tasks, don't forget that rule. Much like the situation we're in now. Fly the democracy, no matter how they try to distract. Vote. Educate. Participate.

Finland's President Stubb is a positive global voice for those of us who often feel scared, or angry. He offers a difficult but hopeful view of reality. He's not perfect, but he's definitely worth a listen.

Humans, especially those in public positions, will show imperfections, but some US politicians seem to be trustworthy. For me, they include AOC, Jasmine Crockett, Adam Schiff, Raphael Warnock, Jon Ossoff, Mark Kelly, Chris Murphy, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Sheldon Whitehouse, Ilhan Omar.

Oscar Wilde said it’s better to be beautiful than to be good. Since this administration is NEITHER, how did they get to this position! Such a pathetic lineup is bringing down the most powerful country in the world. He continues: “but it’s better to be good than to be ugly”. So maybe there’s hope.

ICE is funded by the Federal Government, and the US is recognized as a global STATE (think Marco Rubio, Secretary of STATE, or the STATE Department). ICE is a STATE funded terrorist organization, but the feds, not individual states.

It's pretty obvious that most hard core conservatives suffer from absolute inviolable stupidity, and will never see the truth. The ones that need convincing are the people who are ignorant, but perhaps not stupid.

If the problems of the world seem beyond us, and all we can do is fight the issues within our reach, then that's what we should do. Open our doors to neighbours, volunteer to work with community groups, and remember, if we're not angry, we're not paying attention.

What really scares me about all this is the attitude of people who say they aren't getting involved because they aren't into politics. How fucking blind can people be! This is way past politics. It's global crisis and the edge of dystopia.

Equality and acceptance is not a zero sum game. It's so obvious that everybody wins. Why the hell does anybody care about their neighbours skin colour, religion, ethnic background, language!

When this long dark global nightmare finally ends, the world can start putting the pieces back together. It will take a very long time, and it will be difficult, but hopefully we're not at the point of no return.

A serious investment in education, including studies in logic and critical thinking, could really help people with their fear of the liberal elite. To some degree that elite exists of course, but it's much less pervasive, less superior and easier to understand than they seem to think.
