2 platoon gets the difficult job of clearing the minefield. 1st squad pours down fire from the hill while 2nd and 3rd cover the engineers in the field. @stljoe.bsky.social pesky Soviet sniper killed most of my mine clearers but my company took the day as they open the path toward Kursk.

After some nasty rifle grenades and a round from the Schneider the lieutenant checks to see if the machine gun in the bunker hasn't lost its nerve and sends a rifle squad out to its flank.

A pair of double phases saw first platoon get up to the wire. Meanwhile second platoon's assault squads have taken a beating and suffered a stunned corporal.

Made some progress today. Lots of dunkelgrau. Next is the heavy weapons company and finishing touches on vehicles, then the artillery crews. After that this battalion will be battle ready

Left sprue is white undercoat, baselayered, and washed. Right sprue is black undercoat and base layer (with some black for shadows), no wash.

Gotta add some shrubs trees and a little fence but got one Built Up Area made yesterday. Can't decide if I should make static grass lighter or else drop it all together so my infantry stands don't float on it.

Working on some 6mm panzer 38Ts today. GHQ makes some lovely models.

Working on some armor today. This French Schneider CA1 will support the assault by the 151 infantry regiment near Berry au Bac, part of the Nivelle Offensive in April 1917

Just about everyone's painted up. Two ground holding platoons and a stosstrupp plus their supports. All that's left is to finish basing and that my Great War Germans done.

Got one platoon of Great War British finished this weekend. One more to go and then their supports.

Can't decide if I like them parallel to the base or in natural positions.
