I do appreciate people encouraging me or suggesting studios to work at, but it's really annoying when I say "I'm not qualified" keeps being heard as "No! You're god tier! Apply anyways, you never know what will happen. Don't beat yourself up." "I'm not what they need." "No, you're good!"

I made a concept character design for a Scaler sequel.

There's many things to consider when designing a goo character and how they work. One of the most important, I feel, is to ask this: If you snuck up behind them and punched their head, would it act solid or liquid? ie are they always liquid or do they need to "activate" it somehow?

Before we started learning animation in college (there was one optional year before that was just drawing skills) it really looked like I was poised to be the year's stand out layout artist. But the year after really showed I was an animator at heart. I do sort of miss it, but I just don't have time

Juuuuuust when I was starting to get ahead of bills/debt thanks to my recent commissions and YCHs, $900 car repair bill. Sigh... I hate this, hate pursuing the easiest commissions just to stay afloat and not doing big, risky projects. But I should be thankful that people do want my commissions.

(play on 7 seas) At the end, they find out the sea was their home port. Was renamed a gulf 200 years ago.

I'm suddenly remembering one of the most crushing "Artist serotonin" I ever got. I tried to do something big and fantasy based. This big YCHA of characters fighting a dragon! I tried as best I could like 80 hours of work. It got like 30 likes on twitter. Even now just 38 favs on FA. So disappointing

You know, I just made another connection between me and Aver's liquid shapeshifting I can draw and animate a lot of things, but also a lot of what I do isn't the best, not at elite levels. Sometimes it's just awkward and a failure, but still impressive in its own way Just like Aver's shapeshifting
