I'm a little nervous about turning twenty-six at the end of this month. I know it probably sounds ridiculous, but I'm getting closer to thirty. I thought I'd either have my life settled into a routine by then or not make it at all. Kinda scary, huh?

I'm quite sleepy today. The window I leave open in my room is letting in some rather warm air and when I lie down facing it, the heat washes over my face and relaxes me. It's nice, but I feel like there's other stuff I should be doing today instead of napping.

It is both endlessly amusing and very sweet that my sibling, with whom I am watching Frieren, will point out Fern to me when she appears on screen and say "she makes me think of you." ...okay, so technically what they actually say is "you're so Fern-pilled" but that's less cute.

Insofar as naturally I'd be exploited, I think it would be very nice to be employed so I could support my friends and the people who need it. I think once I get where I'm going, it might be time to look into joining the IBEW for real. Girlectrician, hehe >:)

It just landed on me that it's April. Meaning my birthday is at the end of the month! I am torn, though. On the one hand, it would be nice to replace my old amp and such, maybe get a new guitar with seven strings too! On the other, though... new Fire Emblem coming soon, might need a Switch 2.

Modern medicine is so incredible. I can't wait to be in a safe state where I can get medication and surgeries to turn myself into a beautiful adult woman. It would be nice to resemble the interior on the outside, in my opinion.

I'll stop talking about it someday, but the meds and techniques my therapist is sharing with me are absolutely incredible. I feel invincible. Perhaps I am god?

I have to figure out how to divorce my tabletop character, Val, from the game I made her in. It seems increasingly like we're not going to be playing ICON anymore. It's tricky because a lot of her character stuff doesn't really seem to be setting-agnostic.

Being back on my meds is terrific, I feel alive again. I feel like writing my book more and maybe trying to compose that song again, getting back into games I put on the backburner and reconnecting with my friends. All this and more feels available to me for the first time in a while!

Of course the very moment I learn about "yuri Etrian Odyssey" it's also abandoned. Does nothing good exist in this world?

You know, inasmuch as it matters to anyone besides me, it fills me with no small amount of pride that my new therapist, who I met on Tuesday, told me that she is proud of me for standing up for myself and leaving a situation she called "toxic, abusive, and manipulative." I'm proud of me, too.

Things that Flora likes: taking a nice nap after a week of sleeping ~5.5 hours per night. Things that Flora does not like: being awakened from said nice nap to make "pepsi-marinated steaks."

I think today might be a "Flora practices her guitar scales" type of day. My best friend and I were talking about playing music as my coping mechanism and I think the right way to start improving again is to work on the fundamentals. I wonder which of the Big Four I should start with?

They knew they had to keep me off my meds because I'd be too powerful but it's too late now, I've got them back. The star of Flora is about to experience a meteoric rise, just you wait!

It is important to remind myself that today, I survived. Just like I survived yesterday, and the day before that, and every other hard day and week and year I've ever had. It can be done.

There is a phrase in Chinese that I am rather fond of. It goes something like "Crossing the river by touching the stones", which I take to mean that in uncertain situations, you will have to ground yourself and consider your next steps carefully so you don't get swept away.
