In the books, she had to 'surrender' to break the block. I LOVED that in the show, it was about fearing something uncontrollable, trying to calm the fear through control, and finally realising that the only way to conquer the fear is to stop trying to control it. This poem sums it up perfectly:

So I've restarted Malazan for the fifth(?) time after I realized it reminded me of The Wire, in that while it has some recurring characters here and there, they are merely cogs in the complex ecosystem of the city of Baltimore, and that the city itself is the main character of the show.

I've decided that my two most favorite scenes in the entire series are the prayer scene with Lan in s1e4 and the Moggy compulsion scene in s3e6, so even if show Nynaeve is different to book Nynaeve, she still means everything to me 🙂‍↕️ #TheWheelOfTime #WoTSkies

Rand's descent and channeling are turning out to be my favorite scenes in the entire show, Josha is incredible as we all suspected he would be, but I am honestly surprised that I feel that way because I'm not the biggest Rand fan.
