Interested in what it's like to work with Theatre Centre as an actor? Here Milo McCarthy talks about their experience on the tour of Birds and Bees by Charlie Josephine back in 2023, what it was like as one of their first jobs out of drama school, and what that has meant to them since.

We rarely talk about money when it comes to making theatre. As a rule, all our performances in schools are heavily subsidised, and all the work with young people to develop our shows is offered to those young people for free. To make this happen, it costs a fair amount!

Sera Mustafa toured with last year's show Dizzy by Mohamed-Zain Dada, starting in Sheffield Theatres & visiting venues & schools all around the country. Here she tells us about her experience as an actor touring with the show, & the impact it had on the young people watching the show.

Introducing the latest West Green Window installation. Lonny Chauhan is a Crawley-based artist & a recipient of our West Green Window Commission. The installation 'Figures of Fragility' features the life-sized figure 'Embodiment of Fatigue' which explores human fragility, both emotional & physical.

Fantastic news and huge congrats to Titi! We're lucky to have her as one of our Trustees and know she will be absolutely brilliant.

Karl Singporewala is an architect and royal academician. In 2024, he founded Karl Singporewala + the design bureau (KSdb), which currently has architectural projects in Crawley, London, Manchester, Bristol, Brighton and Berlin.

Our next West Green Resident Artist Sophie Merriner is a fashion & bridalwear designer raised in Crawley. Her concepts are influenced by personal experience with philosophical & political undertones, manifesting into luxury womenswear.

Resident Artist Beth Williams is a queer, disabled designer & multi-disciplinary artist, who specialises in Living Textiles, biodesign & knitwear. Their practice centres around their experience of an inaccessible world, as well as the relationship between human & environmental sustainability.

Our next featured West Green Artist is Maija Handover, a producer based in Lindfield, West Sussex. Passionate about the positive impact of creativity, she went freelance last autumn to develop work inspired and informed by local place and wellbeing, alongside a Creative Health MASc at UCL.
