Well, kit is unfortunately very much ruined. Some of the most stellar and exceptional engineering and colour separation I've ever seen. Completely brought down by making the Pexis Cannons attach to the main body by clear plastic. Basically 100% guaranteed to break just by assembly.

The payoff to this complexity being some insane stuff like this is so worth it though. They got drop down hips mimicking the translucent orbs that they use in the show. They managed to figure out how to wrap DROP DOWN HIPS in translucent plastic to mimic an orb that didn't make sense in real space.

Yeah I was assembling one of the legs after doing a bunch of comm work and uh. I have no idea how on earth I'm even supposed to disassemble it let alone paint it. The intricacies of how the entire kit is built up is frankly ridiculous. Ingenious but ridiculous.

Dita is such a genuinely weird and unique design, I love it. Also even just at the torso, the most complex and interesting Moderoid yet. Fantastic engineering in the hips to retain the look of translucent orbs making up many of the joints in the show.

Yeah I'm not topping this one for a long, long time. Most fun playthrough I've ever done and I have no idea how I'm going to even attempt to live up to the scale that this one ended at. Odyssey really is just a class above, especially with the mods that came out since release.

It's still just a Voyager class but DAMN he's gorgeous. Platonic ideal of an Optimus headsculpt, same tier as the original Big Convoy. Only issue with this guy is Legends price point but no Sakamoto manga...

Love that it's so slavishly the original lineart proportions from the 90s. Cannot tell you how many hours I put into G Gen back in the day and finally having a proper figure of it makes me so happy. Difficult to pose with the wing binders, but it looks fantastic due to how articulated the wings are.

Consistently impressed with how tight and fun RDs are, especially when something with this much mass hinging on the shoulders alone. Hallmark of this entire line for me really is that too, just that they're all really fun. Even moreso with the transformation gimmick.

Keep looking over and getting reminded they used vacmetal on the eyes for Baikanfu and Kenryu and god. Fuck it looks so good. Catches the light and describes the shape perfectly just at a glance.

Kenryu is usually an afterthought with these sets, but it's fantastic here. The double jointed knees and thigh swivels make it so that really the only thing it feels like it's missing is drop hips, but Rom is in there. Ab crunch and swivel despite it being a matryoshka toy. Unreal.

Baikanfu itself is just ridiculous. Difficult to pose and photograph due to the size, but almost as articulated as Kenryu. Only really loses knee articulation. Hips are insanely mobile and the whole upper body has so much range. This thing is just a marvel top to bottom. Can't believe it.

Hilariously Rom might be the most enjoyable of the three purely because of how poseable he is at this scale. Barely 3" but explosive looking no matter what you do with him. Cool as all hell and almost makes me want just a regular 6" figure of him because of how good this looks.

I say it every time I get a Sentinel figure delivered, but man. Man. Vysaga is such a unique design, and this pulls it off perfectly. Same as Soulgain, only ratchets are in the knees, but the zero gimmicks, only pure posing ability is what makes this thing so damn fun to handle.

The Godaiken is just gorgeous, especially with how good it looks in the scabbard. The cape having 4 wires running down it makes it able to nail any flowing pose you want. Nothing risks scraping or getting in the way, it's all just easy and fun to handle. This and Soulgain are a new standard imo.

It's a weird feeling knowing in a few hours this will be in my hands. This is what I took those comms for. I've wanted this since the day it was announced, but it was way too expensive at release and then virtually nonexistent secondhand. My last real grail, and I'm gonna have it tomorrow.

Katoki is simply better when he's not designing Gundams actually feels like Terada holding him back from the design aesthetics he was using around this era with Unicorn and Narrative to just make something (relatively) restrained in the Exbein series

Hell of all hells, my Overlord has started to yellow. Seems slightly directional, so I think this might've been at our old place that he suffered some UV damage. Also comes off a bit dated nowadays, but for a nearly decade old toy with some minor yellowing, it's still gorgeous beyond words.

I swear to fucking god, I'm so used to hammering the start buttons every time I soft reset in these games cause while I love the JAM songs used in most, I just don't wanna hear those first 2 bars over and over. But then there's 2ndOG. Even the CLANG of hitting start is so impactful.

RD Kampfer, this one's special. Not actually the biggest fan of 0080, always second to me behind 0083 (even if 0080 is objectively better,) but the Izubuchi MS designs from it are the best it ever was. This is like, perfect screen recreation of it too. Shitload of booster effect parts too.
