Had our first session of Puppets in a while! We all had brain farts, then suddenly remembered how to play. This just gives me more reason to edit the files so we can go back and refresh our minds with what happened. Can't wait til the next!

Since we're starting sessions up again, I decided to share who I'm playing! Lumi! She's the cleric of Puppet of Greed, our main campaign. I have to redo the mini. Since this was my first time making one, I noticed a lot of things I did wrong when it came in. Made using @heroforgeminis.bsky.social

First up in the “meet the characters” lineup is Pasha from the Puppets of Greed campaign! Pasha was born from one of my players sending me a TikTok of a cat looking like it was going to sell you something and asking “Colleen can we please have a cat merchant?” And who am I to say no? (1/?)

Colleen’s DM screen, complete with space to hold her iPad. I’ve found that it keeps players so much more immersed into the world when you can have a picture up of who they’re talking to- it helps separate DM from NPC. #DungeonsAndDragons #DnD #TTRPG

On the topic of separating dm from npc, I found it’s easier for players to be an asshole to asshole characters when they can look slightly down and THATS who they’re talking to- not me, but the picture below me. Also for flirting. Which we all know D&D is just an excuse to flirt w your friends.

The right is us getting ready for a session. (We often zone out prior to playing, so we tend to look like zombies if it's a covert pic, lol)

I do want to note that our sessions are long. Not "oh an hour and a half isn't bad" long. I'm talking about 3 hours minimum with a 5 hour average. We have episodes from a little over 3 hrs to almost 10. Granted, that's raw recordings, but still. These episodes will be HEAFTY BOIS even when edited.

Man, when y'all finally get to hear this episode, this will make much more sense.
