Sonic World DX 2.0 will make island NPCs more interactable, akin to the Commander in 1.2! They will also be available to read into on the characters screen of the collections menu, giving hints on where to find them and if they have something for a character to do.

We are starting work on improved mod documentation for the current DX version (1.2.7) using Mkdocs. So far, only the themes section is ready. This will be much easier to understand than the previous, with more visual aids for those who are visual learners.

Some enemies will have altered behaviours in v2.0 to make them more lively or chaotic, here's a peak at the redesigned Artificial Chaos! Seems like the laser eyes are swapped out for a scarier more unique attack. Better keep your distance from this monster. Left: New, Right: Old

Progression now works in marathon, so you can gain emblems and red rings like normal play-through. Also includes a menu change for marathon slots. With this, marathon becomes a great way to play Sonic World DX in order.

Fallbacks have also been made so in the case new mods are added, it will not overwrite or break modded chao. You could even disable mods and re-enable them without losing the Chao! We hope that modders who love Chao's creativity can flourish through this.

How to get The way to unlock them will be configurable, so you can set it to evolve from bond with a specific character, or by what the Chao is named. You can also lock the evolution to a specific stat or alignment.

Moddable Chao! Going alongside the previously announced Chao expansions, you can now mod unique Chao models or forms! 2.0 will include an example mod with the Tails Chao, which can be then obtained by evolving a Chao with a high bond with Tails.

Omega's materials also have been revised to make him less matte and to fit the material changes applied to Shadow. His Gatling gun skill has also been buffed.
