I “gave” ChatGPT £50 and told it I would invest it however it suggested. I told it I wanted it to make me the most money as quickly as possible. It reckons that in five years time it will have turned my £50 into £5,782,266,993,424.89! 🤣

Still enchanted by the touring production of “The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe” I saw last week, I’ve written a quick review on my blog. (NB Don’t read if you’re the actor who portrayed Aslan - sorry…!)

I’m not a fan of April Fool’s Day, particularly on social media. Those lovely algorithms keep sticking painfully awful, unfunny ‘jokes’ in my feed for days after the 1st. I will admit, though, that this one has tickled me this morning!

I discovered this song recently (in the closing credits of a TV show). I had never heard of the song or Mia Martini before but now I can’t stop listening it. Such a beautiful melody, and richly layered arrangement. And what a voice!

Ah, the halcyon days when a bit of waterboarding was the worst crime of a US president… (This tweet has randomly resurfaced because two of you lot have ‘liked’ it).

A second post now up on my boat blog, this one about Goshawk’s new home at Mistley Marine, and in praise of Paul, the absolute legend who has worked hard on our behalf over the winter to get Goshawk ready for the season.

Pizza Express for lunch, a 7 mile run, AND 100% Time In Range with an average blood glucose of 6.2 mmol. Feel like I’ve won today! #T1D

Meant to do a four mile run. Got lost. Did seven miles… I’m actually impressed I managed to run that far as it’s the furthest I’ve done for a while! Didn’t even need to stop to re-glucose (#T1D), just to check the map!

This was absolutely superb. I honestly have never seen anything like it before. Absolutely exquisite. Stunning. Magical. Beautiful. I couldn’t recommend this more highly.

I really dislike how every time I do so much as breathe I get asked to do a survey about my experience. Usually I ignore these but as a Nespresso aficionado I opted to do their survey. It is astonishingly bad with some ludicrous questions. I didn’t make it to the end.

I love conversations with my daughter: “daddy, who was the woman on the bus?” “Do you mean Rosa Parks, lovely?” “Yes, daddy. Why did she go to prison?” Cue brief explanation about the bus boycott. “Daddy, I can touch my hair!” as daughter shows me she can touch the bottom of her hair down her back…!

After many years of heavy use, particularly during COVID lockdowns, our treadmill died yesterday… 😢 I’ve now done a couple of sessions on @clairemchale.co.uk’s fixed wheel bike thingy instead, and - oh my goodness - it burns!

Back in the day I had a Pebble watch which I bought through Kickstarter and absolutely loved. I’m so excited to see these brilliant watches make a come back. Unfortunately I now love my Apple Watch Ultra 2 so am unlikely to buy one myself but I wish them all the success in the world.

There’s a random guy in our boatyard, Paul (no idea what his surname is) who keeps doing all the little maintenance jobs on my boat that I’ve been meaning to do for ages, all without being asked! AND he fixed my engine for about 1/10 of the price of the usual company I use. Result!

Sad to read about the demise of Skype. Before @clairemchale.co.uk and I were married, she lived in Belfast and I lived in Sussex. In order to avoid massive phone bills I bought us both a 3 Skypephone, which gave us free minutes over the Skype network. Skype played a large part in our relationship!

I think my Clubcard Price rants might be deflection, as I’m seething with rage at the scenes from the White House this evening…

Well who’d have thought it. £7 is not the “regular” price; it’s the rip off price to make Tesco Scamcard prices seem like a good deal, which they’re not. This is still £1 cheaper at my local, independent (and usually expensive) chemist’s shop. I despite this unfair, dishonest pricing strategy.
