Regretting getting the Hori Split Pad as my turbo controller for the Switch 1. Turbo controllers seem very useful for shiny hunting in Z-A, but I can't use the Split Pad on the Switch 2 since it's a non-wireless controller that slides directly on the Joy-Con railings for the Switch 1.

Shiny Drampa after 292 encounters (after starting to do this hunt properly!) My first actual Z-A hunt, and my goodness, shinies are so plentiful in this game. In the 2 days I was hunting this, I found a total of 23 shinies! 😱

So I phased 14 times (one Kangaskhan not pictured here bc I gave it to my wife) before I got an inkling I may be doing something wrong... turns out flying to the gate for the wild zone doesn't actually respawn the Drampa because it's too far away. You have to run to and from the Drampa. D'oh! 😫

Started my first actual hunt of this game and found this literally within like a minute of starting lmfao. Phase 1 for Drampa

IMMEDIATELY after taking this video I scared off a shiny Fletching (but it's okay I reset the game and was able to reclaim it)

Rolled credits on Z-A, and wow. I think it's kind of retroactively improved my opinion of X and Y - the games I've long considered to be the weakest among the main series. So much of that game felt like it was setting up for a payoff that never happened, but now that it's finally happened, man.

It's so weird that even though Pokemon has eliminated outright asking "Are you a boy or a girl?", it still... basically has that? If you pick the more masculine looking trainer, characters will refer to you with he/him pronouns, and the feminine trainer gets she/her.

Well, I started hunting Solosis a little ahead of Solosis community day with the intention of getting close to odds around the time of the event. Was thinking I'd maybe hatch 300 or so before the event and then go from there - but the little cell decided to shine after just 125 eggs!

Pokemon Go is very close to being within 100 Pokemon of having the full Dex - as of the Wild Area event next month, there will be 924 total Pokemon in Go, 101 shy of the current total of 1025. But Z-A could also introduce some new Pokemon, so Go hitting that milestone could be a bit delayed.

If you get a Gen 6+ shiny around odds, you could say it's Caught in 4K

Playing Go Battle League, got fooled into thinking this was regular Moltres and switched in Jellicent to have the type advantage... when it was actually shiny Galarian Moltres and I just gave my *opponent* the type advantage
