The final stop of our East Coast trip was much less new but was still exciting, as we stopped for a couple of days in our old home of #kingston on the way home. We took in lots of time downtown, checked out Portsmouth Olympic Harbour, and of course the Penitentiary.

One more for today, the last I think I'll share from #novascotia. These are from the #halifax Public Gardens, which is a very nice highly manicured space with a wide variety of plant species right near downtown.

Community festival season is the best season. This weekend is Buskerfest. What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than a short bike ride to watch a German guy crack whips on fire while his friend beatboxes, interspersed with weirdly dark and/or vaguely sexual jokes?

This tiny restaurant, not even in the tourist area, and their #donair may have given me the best food of the entire trip. I don't even like meat normally. This was 1 of only about 5 times I ate meat the entire trip. I don't know why donair is not more of a thing in Ontario. #halifax

#halifax had some nice pedestrianized streets. These photos were at quiet times, but on the Friday and Saturday nights, perfect weather, they were absolutely packed with everyone out enjoying the city.

Hmmm, looks like my bike ride home is going to need a detour today. Although ironically the detour is the straighter line trip; I just normally wouldn't take it because there are too many too fast cars and that isn't a factor when cars can't go down the street behind me.

Ciri had to be a brave girl this morning to go to the vet, so once she was home she promptly fled to one of her favourite hiding spots in the utility room ceiling. #Calico #pixelfedcats#Calico#catsofmastodon

Our last #newbrunswick stop was to #Shediac. We saw the giant lobster, went to Parlee Beach, and made sure we got in some excellent poutine before leaving the primarily French part of Canada.

From #Moncton, we rented a car and went to Fundy National Park, where we then hiked to #LavertyFalls. It was a tougher hike than we were imagining (and a much longer dirt road to get there than we were imagining), but it was absolutely worth it.
