Would advise doing this only with folks you have a history of working with and/or have a very public record of delivering. It's good to give folks leeway, but it still has to be reasonable. I've seen this enable folks into stockpiling a 1-2 year backlog they struggle to clear or just don't.

I was doing some closet cleaning when I found my first plush that I received as a baby. My mom told me that she bought this orca plush at SeaWorld, and she had to repair it many times because I did not want a new one. I can't believe this plush is almost as old as me!
