I’ve been tracking/monitoring my surgery recovery with photos, but that also means whenever I go to send a cat picture in discord, I’m flashbanged by ripe nasty medical gore in the image picker

trying to enjoy breakfast and coffee in bed like I haven’t been stuck in bed anyway for the past two weeks

looking at indoor home co2 levels over the two weeks I was away is fascinating. why is it doing that? neighbor activity? winds bringing fresh air from outside the city, or clearing out local stagnant air? temperature changing airflow? (big spikes on either end are when I left/got back)

ok I know they said “it’s common to experience depression during recovery from surgery, it’s good to prepare” but wow okay actually oof, y’all, big major oof, can’t prepare for this

if I didn’t know any better, I’d say it looks like I just went through surgery OH WAIT (the forehead rag just very much completes the look, haha - have had a *nasty* tension headache the past 24hours. vibin’ and recovering well, though!)

used my telescope properly for the first time in years!

finally was a cloudless night tonight, so I pointed my telescope out my window as a lazy test for the bahtinov mask @freya.bsky.social 3d printed me - it works great! (my motorized mount was turned off - so the star moving is due to the rotation of the earth)

I did a comparison of latency in ffxiv, windows vs. linux! (bumped mouse and timed how long it took to turn the camera) - ffxiv is surprisingly low latency, basically no difference between a text editor and it - no statistically significant difference between windows and linux

whoever said fresh sheets are nice needs to unsubscribe. they feel weird, smell unfamiliar, are wonky and make me feel foreign. there. that’s my hot take. a necessary unpleasantness to stay clean.
