Vive La France! 🇫🇷 Probably one of the most predictable Game Awards shows of all time, and nothing that immediately impressed me on the announcements aside from the Divinity announcement. That’s okay, my backlog is more than long enough!

Pluribus premiere episode was SO GOOD. I cannot wait for the rest of this season! Apple TV has been on such a hot streak with great shows lately.

Absolutely famished for more Taskmaster content. I have a NEED for it. I guess I can sustain with rewatching the seasons again.

We tried something new with the trophies this year, entirely made by us! In the past we’ve used acrylic boxes and components made by other manufacturers we bought off Amazon, but these were wholly designed and manufactured by the Hitfall team. I hope our attendees enjoy the new designs!

I try not to promote too much stuff on Bluesky but these are some of the coolest things we’ve had the opportunity to create for Hitfall. It’s always incredible to see these skins in motion and know that a part of me is in there. :)

Kitten update. Turned it over to local Animal Services for the weekend, they’re checking if she has an owner/is chipped, doing health checks and determining if she’s able to be adopted. I signed to have first dibs if she’s going to be looking for a forever home.

So a very friendly stray kitten followed me for my (intended to be) very short walk this evening. They were friendly and seemed healthy so I carried them into my apartment to take care of for the evening so I can find a shelter for them tomorrow. Trying not to get too attached.

Listening to DC radio stations is so funny sometimes. Going from an ad about weed killer to an ad about a company that makes guided cruise missiles for the Department of Defense, then an ad about a finance phone app. Could be quaint if it wasn’t so messed up.

Crazy how my allergies don’t bother me when I take allergy medication! What’s next, pain killers that deal with headaches? Sometimes I’m too stubborn for my own good. 🙄 Maybe I can start to go enjoy spring birding or hiking if I remember to keep taking it. The weather’s been alright.

Saw a red shouldered hawk on the fence at work today. It let me pull up quite close in my car to take pictures. Even preened while I was right next to it! Such a pretty bird. :)

Travelled into DC to watch a Jazz performance. Saw a goose. :) Been reading Men Without Women by Haruki Murakami. I love the way he writes and plan to read more of his works. Started with the short stories because I was lent the book by a family member.

Watched #Severance S2E7 “Chikhai Bardo” and cried until I got a nasty headache and now I can’t get to sleep. 🙄

Had a profound realization that I will never have a connection with a game like I have with Ocarina of Time, it was just the right game at the right time in my childhood, and it’s continued to be there when I need it most in life. Been replaying it recently to get over all the *current events*.

Pushed through some under the weather-ness to do my part in running the launch day Rivals of Aether 2 bracket at District E today. Had a great time with my static co-to OldManSpidey. The vibes were very positive!

The moon felt particularly transfixing tonight so I did a 3 card tarot draw and got this fun spread.

My next audiobook is André Aciman’s “Call Me By Your Name”, I’ve seen the movie before and I’m ready to be emotionally devastated again.

Finished “Strong Female Character”, Fern Brady’s autobiography. A real gut punching and eye opening book for me, definitely ugly cried a couple times. The audiobook version was fantastic, I think any autobiography narrated by the author brings a rawness that wouldn’t be there otherwise.

Saw a great blue heron the other week while on a hike. They seemed as interested in observing me as I was in observing them. Very beautiful bird. I know there’s a lot of symbolism associated with seeing them, but I’m not sure what it could mean in my life right now.
