Had a lot of fun at GFM this weekend, was super chill but also lots to do. Some highlights in no particular order: - Tried a friend's head on - 18+ Jeopardy panel - Played Magic for like 6 hours Saturday night, one game was a 6-pod that ended in about an hour (win)

printer ran out of ink right as I'm trying to print some stickers to give to a friend at GFM >:( on the bright side, it was an excellent test for running the sticker paper I have through the laminator I got recently. Turned out much nicer than when I was applying vinyl by hand lol

i can't wait to not be busy I wanna get back to art and also try to make a railgun without significant knowledge of electrical engineering :>

Nextcloud doesn't like me uploading a 20GB tar archive so I guess it's the old-fashioned way of sticking it in the data directory with scp and updating the index manually

Upgraded MTG deck has been tested in 2 real games w/ 4 good players and won both times 🔥 first w/ healing alt win-con from Felidar Sovereign (and healing from Riot Control); second w/ simic ascendancy/sphynx of the second sun/wizard class to just get a ton of +1/+1 counters from drawing cards

ssh tunnel for my nextcloud server stopped working when i moved everything into proxmox, but i added it back yesterday out of curiosity and it's good again? cool, i guess.

Finished all the way up to Ascent 7 solo! Got sub-hour on it to boot lmao. That was a fun challenge, but I'm glad it's done.

Today's island in Peak was very easy, got the sub-hour badge and made it to Ascent 5... which still isn't too difficult, just jumped in lava on accident lol

i think the biggest thing i dislike about the bluesky mobile app rn is how you cant switch accounts from the profile icon like on the website. tap and hold would be cool rather than having to go to settings

was really really tired last night for some reason and ended up getting like 14 hours of sleep which would have been a normal amount plus fixing my sleep schedule if i didn't go back to bed at 6 AM lol

I think I figured out why my PC's been acting weird (needing the PSU to be switched off and on to start up) just looked in to make sure all the power supply cables were plugged in properly & apparently when i redid my fans so they're not jammed in there, i didn't get 1 of the CPU cables all the way

got a couple other shower thoughts to add on to my thread from the other night remembered a mindset I had adopted a while ago, and then fell out of, and feel like it'd be good to adopt again, which is something to the tune of "if there's a problem, and I'm not made aware, it's not my problem"-

PSA if you have a PC around untrusted individuals, be sure to set a bios-level admin password. it can be reset but it's much more of a deterrent, & prevents such asshole activities as reinstalling windows & wiping the hard drive wish i knew this sooner, it's been staring me in the face for years
