In June, as part of our IDM Melange series, we had the pleasure of welcoming representatives of three regionally relevant initiatives. Firstly, Elisabeth Campestrini presented her innovative "Parents-Child-Passport" project, currently piloted in Kosovo. (1/4)

⚖️In the Western Balkans, some constitutional courts avoid ruling on sensitive issues like language rights or political representation. Rather than protecting rights, their silence helps maintain an ethnicity-based system and preserves elite interests. (1/2)

🌍 New IDM Short Insights ! What does the latest European Political Community (EPC) summit in Tirana mean for the Western Balkans ? On May 2025, the European Political Community (EPC) met for the first time in the Western Balkans, with Tirana hosting the sixth summit.

Wir trauern um Mag. Otto Schwetz, der dem IDM mehr als ein Vierteljahrhundert als Vorstandsmitglied verbunden war und sich als Mitglied des Wiener Stadtsenats verdient gemacht hat. Mit seinem Engagement für den Donauraum prägte er die europäische Verkehrspolitik mit. (1/2)
