Favourite @sohohorrorfest.bsky.social film of yesterday was STRANGE HARVEST - an exquisitely observed faux documentary telling of an occultic serial killer. Loved how it focused on the long term strain of investigating horrific acts, and the impact on those left behind.

We are wrapping up warm and making our way to the Soho Horror Fest. Is it our favourite horror film festival? Yes. Are we really bloody excited? Yes. Are we getting old and will probably sneak off home before the last film of the night? Probably.

#TheFirstOmen is superb. Nell Tiger Free is terrific in the lead, and Arkasha Stevenson skillfully binds an engaging new story to the classic original, giving birth to something quite special. Recommended.

Just finished TRUE DETECTIVE : NIGHT COUNTRY and boy oh boy it's great. If you haven't seen it, and you're asking yourself if you should, that is the right question. (And the answer is Yes)

THE LODGE (2019) is finally available to watch, on Netflix. Unsettling, icy, hopeless, and bleak - we loved it.

It's fair to say that getting our film UNFOUNDED finished has taken a little longer than planned, but the finishing line is in sight and we can't wait to share it with you in 2024. Happy new year!

First Christmas film of the day: the gloriously savage treat SILENT NIGHT by Camille Griffin (and in a cast of scene stealers, Rufus Jones was the scene stealiest). Highly recommended.

It's not been our busiest creative year, but that doesn't mean we were going to forego our traditional Vegan Christmas Party at the Spread Eagle in Homerton.

Bit of a late start today, on account of the fact that the doorbell kept ringing through the night from someone wanting a massage, or asking "If this was the Firman House". 😐

Third day of Soho Horror Fest already! And starting the day with the film we've been most excited about: #SatanicPanic documentary, SATAN WANTS YOU.

.....not actually Tonight. Can't quite believe this was six years ago. Our first show, B.A.D.D. at the London Horror Festival. Since then, we've made three more live shows, two online shows, co-produced a Quatermass, and nearly finished a feature film. What a time.

Swept away by the mesmerising 1928 adaptation of THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER, screening as part of London Month of the Dead, with glorious live musical accompaniment from Stephen Horne and Elizabeth-Jane Baldry.
