For many public interest lawyers, the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program is the only reason they can afford to do this work. A proposal to change the program threatens to sideline attorneys who need it. That’s why FJI joined more than 250 other organizations in calling to protect PSLF.

The state allowed Victor Jones to be abused as a child. Now that same state wants to execute him. The Florida Supreme Court has denied the motion to stay the execution. Our thoughts are with Mr. Jones and his legal team as they face the next step in this excruciating process.
