I will be doing a poster on the Weds Dec 11th (13:40-17:30 EST) session for “H33J: Knowledge Cocreation in Hydrology and Biogeoscience Participatory and Citizen Science” on @fieldkit.bsky.social titled “FieldSchool in the Amazon: Bringing Community Environmental Monitoring to the Rainforest”

We recently assembled and shipped a few @fieldkit.bsky.social underwater sensors for the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama. Each unit measures pH, conductivity, temperature, depth, and dissolved oxygen. They’re calibrated through the FieldKit.org app.

I really enjoyed that episode and have been following @fieldkit.bsky.social ever since. If you're ever looking for product help, I'd love to get involved (even pro bono) but live in Europe so would have to be remote

The most incredible part about Bluesky is all the conservation/ecology folks on here. I’ve missed that so much from the Science Twitter days and Threads/Mastadon just never filled that void.
