Hating yourself really doesn't help anyone, and despite what you tell yourself, it's not actually punishing you properly. You matter, and even if you make mistakes or even wrong choices, just pick yourself up, learn from the experience, commit to do better, and hopefully forgive yourself in time.

Saw a post today that said, "Make a mark in someone's life, but make sure it's not a scar." And I get it, but sometimes I disagree. Sometimes, to save a life, you leave a scar. Closing a deep wound usually leaves a mark, but it may be better than painting a beautiful picture in their absence.
