2025 is going to be the year I develop an educational (STEAM) solar electric car. The Volta Racer from 2014, pictured below, was one I took to many public EV events. It was a kid magnet. I'd ditch the foam plastic for wood composites and include energy harvesting electronics with a supercapacitor.

EV charging at home, rural Arizona style. No exterior outlets here. That will change someday. In the meantime, one of the sliding windows facing my carport allows me to plug into a good 120V outlet inside. A shop rag and a pool noodle ($5 at the local Dollar General) keep the bugs from coming in.
