I’m still giggling about the pitch perfect specificity of every mid-sketch ad read that has ever been in SNL’s “Black Jeopardy” because (without fail) they are all things that existed in my (very white) southern grandma’s house.

We need a version of thesaurus dot com for figuring out what word to use when the word you thought you wanted to use sounds correct but actually means something so different that even antonyms aren’t useful.

There will always be new phrases in the (semi) collective consciousness that would have made great emo band names in the mid to late 2000s, here are a couple on my mind today:
