i have to replay DT sooner than later bc i remember being thrilled playing it. especially the first half it made me look around for ages. it benefited from my "i am hyperfixated on xiv and a new expac just came out" mentality but idk.

worst thing abt ffxiv fandom IMO. imo. is i hate to see a conflation between financial gains/losses and whether something is a good story. "dawntrail is bad bc it lost subs" "dawntrail is good bc it retained subs" i have a brick in my hand and im about to throw it
