We're held hostage by a brutal capitalist system of wage slavery no matter who occupies the White House. Voting is a pointless exercise in this corrupt political landscape.

Friendly reminder that dishwashers made after 1995 or so are so water and energy efficient that even if you ran them twice fully loaded it would still use less water than handwashing the same load. So many "green" things feel like sacrifices. Dishwashers are not one of them.

If you aren’t willing to go on TV and publicly demand the President resign due to the credible evidence that he’s a pedophile then you should quit your job in favor of someone who can actually do politics.

i think my favorite part about elon musk is through joining up side by side with the far right, he revealed himself to be a completely tasteless loser with absolutely absurd beliefs that doesn’t really care about anything real at all other than ruining peoples lives and power

they understand insurance. the entire premise of libertarian opposition to mandatory insurance is that they should not have to care about anyone else and be permitted to take risks. it's the same opposition to vaccination and taxation. they are bad neighbors.

29 long years have passed since I founded the emulation archive, Zophar's Domain, on 11.9.96. To this very day, the site still stands as a testament to an era that never actually disappeared but continues to live in the hearts of retrogamers all over the word. Emulation Forever!

I particularly hate the suggestion there's some sort of grand bargain in which trans rights are given up in exchange for _______. No one is offering such a thing. No one would change their vote to Dems after that. The argument exists solely to justify throwing trans people under the bus.

The highest level members of the Democratic Party are going to sell out millions of Americans to the fascists further allowing the Nazis in power to consolidate their control and domination. The democrats are quislings at best.

On TikTok there's a woman doing a fairly clever social experiment. She's calling churches around the US and asking if they can help her get formula for her baby. She tracks on a spreadsheet which ones say yes. It makes me wish we could strip religious tax exemption from orgs that fail their values.

The story of this week is that millions of Americans were told in 2024 their lives would be improved if trans people's lives were made worse and I'm glad they're finally waking up to the fact that was never true to begin with--but trans people's lives are still getting worse

The nyt editors already have a biased angle in mind. They’re not seeking facts, they’re looking for quotes to fill in a predetermined narrative of bigotry. Every nyt story about us is intended to spread disinformation and foment discrimination. The leadership’s anti-trans animosity is deeply held

I'm getting absolutely hammered with Democrat fundraising emails today. People voted because they're angry at Trump and hate what's happening in their neighborhoods. Not because you jabronis did anything. Send a fucking email JUST ONCE where you don't ask for money. One fucking time

Theres something serendipitous and poetic about Dick Cheney, a man who caused so many deaths primarily of Muslims specifically off the back of using islamophobia and 9/11 to justify wars, dying the same morning that New Yorks first Muslim mayor was sworn in. Racist losers stay losing.

My takeaway from the elections yesterday is that it’s one thing to be unpopular and have a large portion of the media apparatus desperate to pretend that’s not the case but it’s another thing to be unpopular and have that be an undeniable fact
