#StolenMemory is now in Warsaw. The traveling exhibition uses personal belongings to commemorate victims of Nazi persecution. Visit the exhibition at the Willy Brandt International School until Oct 13. We were delighted to welcome the German Ambassador-Designate Miguel Berger to the opening.

After the war, the Federal Compensation Act excluded many persecuted groups from compensation payments – including people who had been persecuted as “anti-social elements.” It took until 2020 for them to be officially recognized as victims of Nazi persecution. arolsen-archives.org/en/news/pers...

Stanisław Sztylka’s pocket watch has returned to Warsaw after 80 years as part of the #StolenMemory campaign. Arrested during the 1944 Warsaw Uprising, he was deported to a concentration camp. It will now be on display at the Warsaw Museum as a reminder of the German occupation of Warsaw.
